WINGING IT IS EASY WITH MURPHY’S DINNERS TO-GO
Iconic Virginia-Highland Eatery Helps Diners Make Sunday Special Without Lifting a Finger
ATLANTA (July 31, 2019) – Andy Tran is no mathematician, but he knows exactly how to help Atlantans carve out extra time on Sundays for fun and relaxation. The equation is simple. The executive chef at Murphy’s spends more time in the kitchen so diners don’t have to. The iconic Virginia-Highland eatery is now offering dinner to-go with all the fixin’s every Sunday. Diners simply order online by 4 p.m. on Saturday and pick their order up between 5:30 and 7 p.m. on Sunday.
The signature crispy-on-the-outside, succulent-on-the-inside roasted chicken meal for four costs $40 and includes a large mixed green salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, chef’s choice of house-made rolls or biscuits, and cookies. A half dinner ($18) can be added to accommodate additional guests or heartier appetites. On alternating Sundays, Tran adds either a meatloaf dinner or brisket dinner served with mashed potatoes and green beans also for $40. Brisket comes with a side of horseradish sauce with meatloaf getting a side of marinara.
“There’s nothing better than a relaxing Sunday afternoon,” Tran says. “My goal is to help guests enjoy more of their weekend by taking the stress out of Sunday night dinner. Our meals are simple and satisfying for the whole family.”
Need extras or more options? Murphy’s has that covered, too. Guests can choose from an order of mac and cheese or extra mashed potatoes and green beans for $8 each. Murphy’s Wine Shop also has chosen a few perfectly paired bottles guaranteed to transform the Sunday night scaries into Sunday night bliss.
Murphy’s Restaurant is located at 997 Virginia Ave., NE in the Virginia-Highland neighborhood of Atlanta. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner daily, adding brunch on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m. For more information, call 404-872-0904 or visit www.murphysatlanta.com.
