ADDS NEW MENU

Celebrated Atlanta Chefs Raise the Culinary Bar for Dinnertime Guests

 

ATLANTA (Sept. 19, 2018) – Sound financial transactions aren’t the only thing that can be banked on near Atlanta’s Federal Reserve. Acclaimed Atlanta chefs Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere want guests to know their interest rate will soar while enjoying the best cocktails and cuisine from the comfort of a bar stool at the The Federal, their successful pocket-sized bistro in Midtown.  In fact, the dynamic duo recently launched a new menu available exclusively at the bar beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday.

 

“Having traveled extensively through the years, Lance and I have visited numerous neighborhood bistros all over the world with inspired bar menus,” says co-owner Shaun Doty. “We want to offer a similar experience where regulars and first-timers can enjoy the ease of dining at our bar paired with simple, delicious dishes and our craft cocktails, beer and wine.”

 

The menu includes:

·        Oysters with cocktail sauce, mignonette ($1 each; available 5-7 pm)

·        Half-pound of peel & eat shrimp served with comeback sauce ($16)

·        Lobster roll with fries ($20)

·        Smoked fish dip with club crackers ($12)

·        Soft pretzel served with grain mustard and beer cheese dip ($10)

·        Deviled eggs with guanciale, bourbon-smoked paprika ($8)

 

While Doty and Gummere are investing time and effort into this tasteful new menu, they are certain their existing bar prix fixe menu will continue paying dividends as well. Served at the bar Tuesday – Friday from 5 – 7 p.m., this popular $40 feature includes soup du jour or salad, steak frites and a cheese plate or sticky toffee pudding.

 

“We have regulars who come in weekly just for this prix fixe menu.” Doty says. “We wouldn’t dare take it away.”

 

The Federal is located at 1050 Crescent Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets and serves weekday breakfast and lunch, dinner Tuesday through Saturday and brunch Saturday-Sunday.  Reservations may be made via OpenTable. Two-hour validated parking is available next to the restaurant in the 1010 Midtown Parking deck, and additional paid parking is on Crescent Avenue.
