Midtown Restaurant Serves Up Monthly Rotation of Culinary Arts and Culture

ATLANTA (July 12, 2018) – This summer, 5Church Atlanta owner Ayman Kamel and his team are adding a new and exciting element to the Midtown restaurant’s dining experience by showcasing artwork from Atlanta-area artists. The selection of artwork is displayed free of charge and rotates each month to give new and emerging artists an opportunity to showcase their talents while providing restaurant guests with a full entertainment experience.

“As a Midtown restaurant, we are proud to be part of the ‘heart of the arts’ in Atlanta,” says Kamel. “We want to support this artistic community in any way we can while giving our guests even more reasons to return to 5Church. Now, a meal here combines cutting-edge design, a modern American menu, genuine hospitality and an art show.”

Collab5’s Amy Rader and Anderson Smith’s collaboration pieces as well as personal works from each artist are currently on display at the restaurant and available for purchase now through July 21. From July 22 through Aug. 22, Tim Schmidt of Second Chance Creations showcases his one-of-a-kind mixed media installations comprised of materials that would otherwise be thrown away. Each unique piece tells a story.

Atlanta artists who are interested in displaying their work at 5Church Atlanta are encouraged to apply by submitting artwork samples to info@5churchatlanta.com for consideration.

5Church Atlanta has been known for its strong support of local artists and the large-scale paintings and sculptures incorporated into its neo-Victorian décor since its inception in June 2016. Artist Jon Norris hand painted the restaurant’s ceiling, which displays Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War” and local artist Lewinale Havette recently created 5Church’s new wings mural and showcased her “Immortals” art installation at the restaurant. Permanent design features throughout the space also include William Massey’s Buffalo Nickel sculpture and Ishmael’s “The Fifth Dimension” painting based on a 1925 photograph of Atlanta’s Five Points.
