Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room in Historic Roswell Sets June 23 Opening Date
New Canton Street Business Features Napa Technology Pouring Stations, Hard-to-Find Boutique California Vintages and Packaged Snacks
ATLANTA (June 18, 2018) - Get ready, Roswell! Just in time for summertime sipping, June 23 is the opening date for the debut of Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room at 1055 Canton Street in Historic Roswell. Deep Roots exclusively features wines from California with a wide range of price points, including hard-to-find boutique wines that are perfect for adding to cellar collections. The shop is owner Dana Gurela’s way of bringing her beloved Napa Valley home.
“It’s taken a little time and planning, but my dream business in Historic Roswell is finally becoming a reality,” says Gurela. “I can’t wait to begin the first of many wine conversations with our guests.”
As a certified California Wine Appellation Specialist via the San Francisco Wine School with a Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 2 certification from the Napa Valley Wine Academy, Gurela looks forward to recommending vintages and varieties. Customers can also take advantage of the Deep Roots Tasting Room’s unique self-guided wine tour via Napa Technology wine pouring stations. Wine lovers can sample 1-, 3- or 6-oz. pours of 24 wines, thanks to a reloadable pre-paid swipe card.
Deep Roots offers pre-packaged bites for pairing including cured meats from The Spotted Trotter along with chicken salad, pimento cheese and baked goodies from Roswell’s popular Gluten Free Cutie. Assorted cheeses, crackers, jams, salads, hummus and baba ghanoush are also available in the shop’s retail cooler.
Featuring a clean, relaxed and warm California coastal design by California interior designer Tara Fust, Deep Roots is a casual, relaxing space for meeting up with friends or dashing in to grab a bottle of wine for dinner.
“We want to take the stuffiness and pretense out of the wine sampling and purchasing process,” says Gurela. “Everyone will feel at home at Deep Roots, whether you’re still learning about wine or eager to add bottles to your home collection.”
The name originated from two sources. Throughout her Napa Valley wine education, Gurela learned the best wines are made from “distressed” vines that burrow deep into the earth for water and nutrients. Deep Roots also references a return to Georgia to be near cherished family members.
Deep Roots Wine Market & Tasting Room is located at 1055 Canton Street in Historic Roswell. The shop’s entrance is on Plum Street. For more information, call 770-925-5124 or visit www.deeprootswine.com.
