Atlanta’s First Burrito Restaurant Gives Guests $5 Coupon for $5 DonationDuring 23nd Anniversary Celebration June 1-23


ATLANTA (May 30, 2018) – Celebrating their 23rd birthday this summer, the team at Willy’s Mexicana Grill appreciates the expression “it’s better to give than to receive.” They are setting out to prove both are equally excellent, however, by raising $23,000 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGCMA). June 1-23, guests who donate $5 or more to the BGCMA’s Workforce Development Program receive a coupon for $5 off their next visit. This powerful program helps provide high school students with volunteer and leadership opportunities that help better prepare them for successful careers.


For the past three years, Atlanta’s first (and still best) burrito restaurant has been celebrating its anniversary by giving back to the community and rewarding customers for helping them make a difference. Over this time, Willy’s has raised almost $67,000 for the BGCMA and feels confident that number will reach $90,000 in June.


“I’ve always loved celebrating birthdays,” says Willy’s founder Willy Bitter. “Pardon the pun, but our fundraising celebrations take the cake. Our guests are rewarded for their generosity, which in turn benefits our local youth. It’s a great way to satisfy both appetites and spirits.”


Bitter is quick to note that donations have an impact on the communities in which they’re made. “Money donated in our Athens, Columbus or Cartersville restaurants goes directly to the clubs in those neighborhoods,” he says. “You may discover you’re contributing to the success of someone you know.”


The fundraiser takes place at all Willy's restaurants. The coupon may be used for a future visit to all locations except Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
