DRIFT FISH HOUSE & OYSTER BAR OPEN FOR BUSINESS OR CASUAL LUNCH
IN EAST COBB STARTING NOV. 9
Sustainable Seafood Restaurant Also Luring Regulars and New Guests with Updates to Dinner Menu
ATLANTA (Nov. 8, 2018) - Diners asked, and the team at Drift Fish House & Oyster Bar listened. Owner and chef Doug Turbush heard from guests that they need an affordable, approachable neighborhood restaurant where they can stop in for a quick lunch bite or dinner with friends and family on a casual weeknight. To answer this call, lunch will be available starting Nov. 9 at the Avenue East Cobb eatery Tuesday – Saturday from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., and starting Nov. 13, an updated dinner menu with many customizable options will be served nightly beginning at 3 p.m.
“In talking with our guests, it became apparent that we have both a business and a social crowd looking for an affordable, speedy lunch place they can put in their regular rotation,” says Turbush. “And at dinner time, our guests want that same approachability and a variety of flavors and choices to make Drift both a go-to for weeknights and a date night or special celebration.”
A highlight of the new lunch menu is the clam shack lunch, which includes a variety of fresh fried seafood options, slaw, fries, pickle, sauces and a cup of New England clam chowder. Other lunch dishes include:
· Shrimp Cobb salad, buttermilk jalapeño ranch, smoked bacon, soft boiled egg, avocado and radish
· Ahi tuna poke lettuce wraps, avocado, cucumber, yuzu ginger soy
· Crispy fish tacos with chipotle honey lime aioli, pico de gallo, queso Cotija
· Country fried trout sandwich, fennel onion bacon jam, spicy tartar sauce
· Mussels & fries: 1 pound steamed mussels in smoked tomato beer broth with hand-cut fries and sourdough
· The Drift burger with American cheese, Dijon, pickled grilled onions
Turbush has also been hard at work adapting the dinner menu to lure in guests with a wider, more approachable variety of fresh options.
“While we’re keeping a variety of guest favorites such as our lobster roll, crab fried rice, BBQ spiced jumbo sea scallops and wood-grilled mahi mahi, the updated menu is really going to appeal to diners who want to stop in more frequently,” says Turbush.
New to the menu is a fresh market seafood section where diners choose a fish and sauce from a menu of options that changes daily. The new dinner menu also features simply fried selections, which include fries, hush puppies, coleslaw and sauces. Simply fried options include:
· Fisherman’s platter – cod, oysters, shrimp, clam strips
· Pacific oysters (6)
· Gulf white shrimp (6)
· Ipswich whole belly clams
