Georgia Organics has launched its Farmer Champion Program which aims to connect Georgia restaurants to Georgia farmers and encourages more locally sourced and certified organic purchasing by Georgia restaurants. Twenty Georgia farmers are receiving business training, field management assistance, pricing and communication strategies and Organic Certification help and Georgia Organics is bringing farmers and chefs together for educational workshops and networking opportunities throughout 2019. In addition to increasing farmer access to restaurants, the Farmer Champion program will spotlight the chefs and restaurants who invest in Georgia farmers through Farmer Champion Decals, inclusion in the Good Food Guide and recognition at a new awards dinner in March 2020. Are you interested in enrolling your restaurant in the Farmer Champion Program? Email Lauren Cox (email@example.com) or visit ATL Dish for all the details.
