Belly Up to the New Bar Menu at The Federal

Guests at The Federal can now enjoy some of the city’s best cocktails and cuisine from the comfort of a bar stool. Chefs Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere have launched a new menu available exclusively at the bar of their Midtown bistro beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. Belly up for a menu that includes oysters with cocktail sauce and mignonette ($1 each, available 5-7 p.m.); half pound of peel-and-eat shrimp ($16); lobster roll with frites ($20) and deviled eggs with guanciale ($8), just to name a few. Fear not: the bistro’s popular bar-only prix fixe menu featuring soup du jour or salad, steak frites and a cheese plate or sticky toffee pudding ($40) is still available 5-7 p.m. Tuesday-Friday only.
